I hope everyone is having a great summer so far. The fluctuating temperatures and extraordinary heavy bursts of rainfall have been a challenge. At times, you may not know whether to take out your bottle of suntan lotion or an umbrella.
The extreme rainfall events have caused some minor flooding, washouts, and a boil water notice, but District staff members are working hard to address these issues, and I ask for your patience.
Safety is the primary concern. On a positive note, we do need the water. It is looking much greener out there at this time than last year, which is good when it comes to concerns about fires. Although, we are never completely out of the woods and need to be extra careful when it comes to campfires and any outdoor activity with the potential to start a flame.
