Young professionals from across Canada are helping to find solutions to some of B.C’s most challenging water issues through the B.C. AquaHacking Challenge.
The 2020 program, put on by the Okanagan Basin Water Board (OBWB) and Aqua Forum, provided ideas on how to deal with invasive mussels, flooding, and stormwater contamination.
OBWB and Aqua Forum held the challenge live and online on June 25. Five final teams, representing universities from across Canada, presented their pitches to address water challenges in B.C. and beyond, Judges and participants voted for their top choices and winners were announced.
