Join us for the Okanagan Basin Water Board’s 2024 Annual Meeting: Building a Resilient Region – Come Heat or High Water
This year’s event will begin with a welcome and opening remarks from Corinne Derickson, Syilx Okanagan Nation elder.
Zane Marshall , Director of Water Resources with the Southern Nevada Water Authority, will provide a keynote presentation on Water Management in Southern Nevada: Lessons Learned Through Water Scarcity , in which we learn how the Colorado River, known as the world’s most controlled and litigated river system, is shared.
OBWB’s Executive Director Anna Warwick Sears will present the 2024 Annual Report: Building a Resilient Region – Come Heat or High Water, providing an update on the many projects and programs the OBWB has delivered during the past year.
And, OBWB Communication’s Director Corinne Jackson will reveal this year’s “Make Water Work Champion Community,” recognizing the community that has collected the most pledges per capita to conserve water this summer.
Opening and closing remarks will be delivered by OBWB Chair Blair Ireland.
DOORS OPEN at 8:30 a.m. and the event starts at 9 a.m. Coffee and light refreshments will be served.
