Milfoil control is being defended.
The Regional District of North Okanagan turned off the Kalamalka Lake source because of turbidity. It states the turbidity is partly from the Okanagan Basin Water Board’s milfoil harvester.
“There are trade-offs where you go in and get milfoil and how it aligns with the water supply,” said Anna Warwick Sears, OBWB executive director.
