Armstrong has reverted back to its main water source, Fortune Creek, now that spring runoff is mostly over.
The city switched to groundwater wells on June 4, due to runoff, rain and debris. Since conditions have improved, the water source is back to normal and water conservation has been downgraded from stage two to stage one.
“Water is a precious resource here in the Okanagan and the City of Armstrong remains on Stage 1 Water Conservation measures year round,” says Nicole Cressman, corporate officer for the City of Armstrong. “The City of Armstrong encourages all residents to protect our water by taking the Make Water Work pledge.”
