The Town of Oliver has lifted stage one water restrictions for their area and rural water system customers as of Thursday, with normal watering guidelines taking effect immediately
“Due to groundwater supply meeting normal levels and a favourable long-term weather forecast, conditions are suitable to rescind stage one water restrictions,” the town said in their press release.
“However, the Town of Oliver acknowledges the need to maintain conservation measures and efficient watering practices year-round to safeguard our community from aridification trends. Properties that have water flowing through a water meter or are using domestic groundwater for irrigating must follow these conservation measures. House numbering is used as a guideline.”
