The Osoyoos Lake Water Science Forum 2015: ” A Watershed Beyond Boundaries: Stewardship of our Shared Waters” was a 3-day event full of important and interesting presentations.
On Opening Night, Wednesday October 7, a Welcoming Reception was hosted at the spectacular Nk’Mip Desert Cultural Centre. The forum took place on the following two days.
“Sharing Water Science“ was the theme for Day 2, Thursday October 8. Specialists, scientists, local government representatives, among others, presented on topics such as climate variation, water supply, fisheries recovery, water quality, and more.
“Ensuring Sustainability“ was the focus of Day 3, Friday October 9. Closing day sessions included presentations about drought and conservation, local actions, living on the lake, invasive species, and more.
