Project Description:
The aim of this project is to give the Town of Oliver a decision making framework and the ability to proactively respond to drought seasons appropriately, and provide input into a region-wide drought response plan, if one is developed.
The expected deliverables is to create a drought management plan which considers; drought information, type and severity of drought, climate and hydrological factors, actions and/or steps requirements for water restriction stages and trigger response for the Town when the area is hit with drought conditions. It will provide a consistent guideline for staff and Council to use in making appropriate decisions and importantly, communicating those decisions locally, regionally and provincially.
