Project Description:

Through this project, SOKS developed a teacher resource package to accompany the waterscape poster so that teachers could use the information more effectively in the classroom – at all levels of elementary classes, and some high school grades. The teacher guide followed BC curriculum using the model built by the Bow Valley River Basin (Alberta) waterscape initiative and their related teacher resource package. Teacher input was solicited and SOKS received a variety of useful contributions. After development of the resource guide, SOKS undertook a successful school outreach program to make sure teachers were aware of the new tool.
