Below please find the Okanagan Basin Water Board’s submission to the B.C. government’s Select Standing Committee on Finance and Government Services regarding three water funding needs in the Okanagan:
- Funding for the review of the Okanagan Lake Regulation System and Operating Plan;
- Funding to prevent invasion by non-native zebra and quagga mussels; and
- Establishing a permanent Watershed Security Fund to support protection of water sources.
