Project Description:

A high priority action item regarding drainage on Beaver Lake Road in the Vernon Creek Watershed was originally identified in the 2010 Source Water Assessment. This current project has provided a better understanding of how road drainage impacts water quality by following a methodology that may be applied to other source watersheds in the Okanagan. A connection between sediment sources to Vernon Creek and upland activities has been identified as a contributing factor to terrain stability along the Vernon Creek canyon.

All relevant drainage recommendations within the DLC boundaries have been reviewed and ensured that all other stakeholders are provided with this information.
