Project Year:
2013
Project Budget:$5,000
WCQI Grant:$3,000
Organization:Greater Vernon Water
Project Description:
Drought stage water-use restrictions exist throughout the Okanagan based on the Provincial Drought Management Plan. Greater Vernon Water is developing a communications tool, similar to fire restriction signs, recognized throughout the province, to relay information about water use restrictions and raise awareness about the need to conserve water. Once complete, this communication tool can be used throughout the valley to coordinate drought response.
